St Moritz is alpine grand-hotel tradition since 1864 — Badrutt's Palace, Suvretta House, the Kulm — built around the Engadin valley's preternaturally turquoise lakes and the Cresta Run toboggan track. The winter season (December to March) brings the Snow Polo, the White Turf horse racing on the frozen lake, and the Engadin Skimarathon. The Federation coordinates private jet to Samedan airfield (St Moritz's local altiport) and helicopter combo from Zurich.
